photoblog image Sea Shanty Day

Sea Shanty Day

I promised to some last week to show a longer view of the water reflections on the side of the boat.  Alas I took only the one shot so do not have one to show. This shot does show some nice examples of the water reflecting on the side of the boats.

fantastic reflections on the boats
Mary MacADNski: It is meant to be the subject and a cropping would achieve that.
It's a very nice shot, Mary!!!
I loved that video!
Mary MacADNski: The wonder of youtube a again.

Jolie photo de ces bateaux.
Mary MacADNski: Merci, madame.
Water has such fun ways of playing, Mary. And so do those guys!!
Mary MacADNski: Water and guys, yes, both playful.

Some nice two-way reflections here, Mary
Mary MacADNski: Yes, the water holds some interest too.

It makes the hulls look like the have some colourful graphics added to them.
Mary MacADNski: The hulls are meant to be the subject and a cropping would achieve that.

Great song Mary, with good harmony. I like sea shanties.
Mary MacADNski: Stan Rogers was Canada's best sea shanty writer. I have featured him here and Bill is now a fan.
The reflections are particularly nice on the two left hand boats.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, they would be nice isolated.
It is a nice shot anyway...
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Larry.
You will have other opportunities in the future I guess, then the rippling water you have not favored, I think that to get the most marked reflexes you have to choose a position higher than water. However a nice picture, beautiful linearity of the boats.
Mary MacADNski: Every Friday we feature boats and on Wednesday I feature water. Living on an island there are plenty of both.
Smart boats, nice reflections, Mary.
We looked at prices for tickets to see Gordon Lightfoot, $250...We won't be going.
Mary MacADNski: I know. They were expensive here too. They were for the Sept. previous but he became ill and did not make up the concert till about 9 months later.

I love this very much. I like the reflections of the shining of the water on the boat....
(is that the reflection you had the other day??)
Mary MacADNski: No, that is what I promised this week but I had taken only the one photo. This is another example.
