Icy Wharf

Here it is in colour.

I got that for all you rust lovers.

Below is my first shot of the wire. The spiral was the attraction for me in the first place.

Colour is good, especially when rust is involved...
Mary MacADNski: We see those big i beams with regularity, with their rusty patina.

all very cool, but i must say the bottom image is my favorite

it holds the most mystery about where the wire came from and why it's there when it's isolated away from the steel
Mary MacADNski: I agree. I like it best too.
I do love the rust! Look at those ice chunks!
Mary MacADNski: I stopped for the ice chunks.
I totally get the attraction of the wire/cable, Mary, along with its shadow!
Mary MacADNski: Funny to make a stop and capture such things.

Rust is good. Rust is fine
Mary MacADNski: I always expect they would use something that would prevent rust on sea structures.

I can see you have carefully considered all this, Mary. I prefer the black and white as the snow is so fresh-looking
Mary MacADNski: Yes, a bit backward thinking but it was for B/W day. Ha! lots of people like a nice new snowfall in spring to cover the old snow.
Three goodies for the price of one
Mary MacADNski: I give good value.

I like the wire and the b&w image best Mary. I would prefer the snow on the left cropped out for a more powerful picture.
Mary MacADNski: That would indeed make a more powerful shot.

HA... now I go for the colour one, Mary. You know me and rust, love it.
Love the shadows too.
Mary MacADNski: I knew there were rust lovers among us.
A fine trio of images Mary, each has its own enjoyable parts.
Mary MacADNski: It is a bit backward but all there.

I like the final shot the best...very interesting.
Mary MacADNski: I do too but it did not translate to b/w as well.

I love rust images, therefore I prefer the colour image.
Mary MacADNski: Some others agree.
The rusty one is best, this time smile
Mary MacADNski: This side is doing well.
thanks for the rust Mary....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: Another for the rust. I think we have a clear winner.

Excellent b&w, with a great composition. That curled cable adds more than just interest to the picture.
Mary MacADNski: Same piece of wire but looks so different from another angle.
Great foreground and background shot.
Mary MacADNski: I am amazed that this same wire looks so different from the different angle.
The same image for two different aspects, how different are the sensations offered by black and white with respect to color.
