Tender's Shed

In summer there would be boats afloat here. There are none today so I'll show it on a Thursday.

I don't know if any of you know Cdn actor/comedian, Martin Short.

He has been funny for more than 40 years but with Jiminy Glick he was at his very best.

My aunt and uncle taped any Jiminy Glick they could over the years for me and would send a VCR tape when it was full.

Jiminy Glick is a fictional character portrayed by Martin Short in the TV series Primetime Glick (2001–2003), the subsequent 2004 film Jiminy Glick in Lalawood, and Short's Broadway show Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me. He began as a recurring character on The Martin Short Show. When that show was cancelled, he was spun off into his own series, Primetime Glick, which ran for three seasons.

I looked him up on YouTube and am in heaven. Here is an eighteen minute 'best of':

The very end of the video shows what he really looks like and tells of his inspiration.  I had the movie long before Jiminy Glick was born and knew immediately where that body came from.

it certainly makes a fine image against the white snow
Mary MacADNski: No sun, so no shadows as you can see.

Still very much like winter isn't it. I'm afraid I've never heard of Jiminy Glick before
Mary MacADNski: This was a week of me bringing the camera out - because we had snow. It's all gone now.

Jiminy was Martin Short's character and you probably heard of him.

Cool/cold vessel.
Mary MacADNski: Truly was not cold in the air, not at all.

I have not heard of this comedian until I saw this. I Like Larry David.
Mary MacADNski: I have a great collection of Jiminy Glick thanks to the aunt and uncle but loved Martin Short. I knew the body of the character immediately as I have a copy of the movie, Pure Luck. His character gets stung by a bee in an aeroplane (probably Chadair) and this swollen face fills the screen. Jiminy was born there.
I like the splots of color...
Mary MacADNski: There is usually sun and cloud with shadows but with a cloudy sky we get this large white space.

Great splashes of colour against the whiteness.
Mary MacADNski: Very whitw with the overcast sky. A blue sky would make a completely different shot - as would the usual boats in summer.
Unknown to me but his style of humour would be recognised here and we have had a number of "spoof" chat show hosts. Mrs Merton springs to mind
Mary MacADNski: I will cut and paste my answer to Chad:

I like it. I like the contrast of colors, red and blue against white.
Mary MacADNski: No sun or shadows that day.
