this is an exceptional photo of the grave markers

i've taken many shots of individual markers for genealogical purposes and i know how difficult it is to take a broad pic of a cemetery and have a good outcome like this one
Nice composition on both, Mary!

This is quite striking - your style is so different from English memorials
The fallen cross is particularly poignant Mary

Is this marble, it certainly seems tough enough to maintain the details of names etc?
That's rather sad isn't it.
You can see the tradition of family plots here, Mary, with more than one name on the grave stones. The colour of the fallen cross really contrasts with the others.

As Lisl has already pointed out - the style is quite different - also different is the absence of moss and lichen on the stones.
i like this low angle, Mary. i try to visit cemeteries if possible, in a new place that i visit.
an interesting composition Mary... i like the simple fallen cross....petersmile
