Mudcho Mud

I left work for a week in June to care for my daughter and her children after my daughter had a tonsilectomy.  She had many 'beat the heat' events planned and one was to visit a town event where all the children were invited to come play in the mud. The top one is a stranger but the bottom child is my granddaughter.

So much mud, those children seem very happy to indulge.
Mary MacADNski: A whole town's worth of happy, muddy little ones.
My word what a mess. We let our Caroline do this when she was about the same age as your granddaughter I would say, she had a great time.
Mary MacADNski: It all washes off with water. Great eh?

Mud, mud, glorious mud
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood
So follow me follow, down to the hollow
And there let me wallow in glorious mud

From The Hippopotamus Song (Mud Glorious Mud)

It;s probably very popular with the children but less so with their parents smile
Mary MacADNski: I love that song!
This looks like red soil P.E.I. mud, Mary. What fun for the kids!

Oh, I admire the children to play in the mud. I would have been too anxious as child. I myself had also a tonsillektomie.
Mary MacADNski: I did not do this either but made plenty of mud pies.

Mary MacADNski: It was a first for me with children. I had been to adult's mud events.

Mary MacADNski: They got hosed off, clean clothes and straight into the showre at home.
What great photos, Mary!!! I feel for that boys eyes! smile
Mary MacADNski: There was a big kid throwing mud. I was not amused and took her photo
