Mary MacADNski: All of the parts move separately in the wind.
Ugh, I know!
What a fascinating sculpture thingy....
And a great song. Ahh, Aretha!
Mary MacADNski: That album brings back so many memories of 72 and 73, those college years.

Looks like it catches and slices, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It catches and slices the wind. The last time I saw it there was wind so I finally got to see it move.

I love this, Mary. Wonderful perspective and B&W works well.

Sharp lines to go with some sharp contrast.
Mary MacADNski: As I said before, some things work so well with a straight conversion; some do not. I like the ones like this that do.

Quite a rake - should be able to catch all kinds of things from the air...and a spirit or two. The b&w is a great picture.
Mary MacADNski: That's the idea, Louis.

This is a waterfront sculpture in Barrie, Ontario. All of it's parts move in the wind.
I don't know what it is but I do like both versions, especially the B.& W.one.
Mary MacADNski: Extra points, Brian.
very dramatic composition
Mary MacADNski: Only part of the whole of this fascinating kinetic sculpture.

Thank you for the informative link, Mary. Your B&W version of this sculpture shows the detail wonderfully crisp & clear.
Mary MacADNski: It did work well. The last time I saw it there was wind so I finally got to see it move.

I like the stark contrast in this. As a retired gentleman, Monday is now my favourite day of the week smile
Mary MacADNski: It feels good not to have to go slog away eh?
