photoblog image Holga-like

Holga-like

Ha ha, you thought I'd been kidnapped.  I found a button on an online photo editor that says 'Holga-like".  What do you think, Ingrid?

Click to Play:
Madeleine Peyroux - I'm All Right
Renee Olstead - Meet me at midnight

Have you ever been lost on An Island Walk?

still too clean for Holga. well, you saved yourself a few bucks and a hassle with a film. smile Ooops, forgot you asked Ingrid, not me.
Madelaine Peyroux fits quite well to this tweaked image with her vintage Billie Holiday-esque voice.
Mary MacADNski: There were sliders to add blur and some other aspect. I just did the one button method. Madeleine Peyroux is coming out with a new album next week.

Like the hi-contrast work here...thought you didn't do PP?
Mary MacADNski: I wanted to post this photo and needed to straighten the horizon. There was a button that says Holga-like. I couldn't resist.

Wow Mary - take more like this!
Mary MacADNski: All done with a button on a photo editor. I will put the original up on Sunday

I thought it looked Holgaesque from the thumbnail. A fair approximation with the vignette, but it needs to be much blurrier - the Holga does in focus only at the middle of the photograph! Lol at Viktor with his hassle - that's what I like about film!
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: There were sliders to add more blur and other aspects. I just looked for the fun!
Apart from the sharpness the result is pretty good Mary! I love it.
Mary MacADNski: I may try it again and I'll be sure to blur it a bit.
I like it! Semi Holga but the effect is really good
Mary MacADNski: Though you might notice something different.

What a gorgeous unspoiled landscape...nice use of B/W!
Mary MacADNski: It's more of a joke, Bonnie.

You could have fooled me, Mary! smile (I finally have Internet after 24 hours without it!)
Mary MacADNski: Oh, my, no internet! I'd be an unhappy camper.
still think its a worthwhile effect Mary, nice one.
Mary MacADNski: I thought it was kind of fun.

Mary MacADNski: I certainly don't play around much and only have Picasa. Thanks for coming by.
the holga effect works very nicely, well done!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Edward. I found this on some site and gave it a try.

Those winter winds sure do create beautiful scenes...i am like you, the only processing that i may do is to perhaps straighten the odd horizon ...there is no cloning or colour enhancing in my work.
By the way, these are the waves that i mentioned in my last comment....that is if the link works .....petersmile

Mary MacADNski: I am so glad to hear of someone else who does not process. I get a lot of flack about it from some people. The link works fine. I love these natural snow sculptures and feature them when we have snow. This one that I am linking, I have been working on a painting of since February and am not finished yet. As a matter of fact I kind of screwed it up last session and have to rework a part of it.
