Wonderful line up.....I love the green on the poles....this picture is a joy for the eye.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Astrid. They weren't afraid and let me get quite close.
This looks like an after dinner shot to me - the birds that is
Mary MacADNski: It could be. It was mid morning but that means nothing.
Great song. I have the Elton John original on Tumbleweed Connection and I had forgotten about it.
Like the picture too
Mary MacADNski: Bettye LaVette is so fabulous. She does an amazing job of it.
The Elders of the PEI community provide their cormorants with wonderfull perching posts, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: We let them fish in our ponds too.
Well spotted Mary
Mary MacADNski: You're in Venice now! Don't fall off any boats.
Magic Mary, l listened to the music as l visited a few blog sites then downloaded the music.
You made my night
Mary MacADNski: Bettye LaVette does an amazing job on any song she sings. She is supremely talented.
We have visited the pylons before, but then there were no birds on them. Seeing how the birds are behaving, you could also have 'To each his own' as an alternative song
Great pic
Mary MacADNski: Yes, you have seen these before. At the time I mentioned that there were often cormorants on them. Thanks, Louis.
Very nicely captured Mary. I like the brightness!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. It was a bright sunny day.
Not only are the birds fascinating but the piles on which they are sitting as well. Great shot Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I love this scene when I drive by this spot on occasion. It's also a photo op.
Loved the song for this image, Mary. Do you ever notice if the same bird goes back to the same pylon as though he claims it for his own? Makes you wonder.
Mary MacADNski: I'm not familiar with this scene on a daily basis. I doubt it somehow though but they must all strive for the top spot.
The song is very apt Mary, lovely capture
Mary MacADNski: It's such a great song. It was all this photo needed.
I like birds but putting them on pedestals is a bit too much.
Mary MacADNski: LOL. They are always on a pedestal - especially the eagles and other high perchers.
Not sure about old soldiers, Mary. This lot seems to lack that discipline! Some aren't even paying attention!
Mary MacADNski: They're paying attention to me, believe it or not. I was amazed at how close they let me get.
