Snowing...10 below...who cares!!
Mary MacADNski: That's the chickadee's attitude for sure.
This has been a most enjoyable series...
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Larry. It was nice to see some snow on the landscape again.
That is a super shot, Mary. Crisp.
Mary MacADNski: The word crisp could describe, as well, the weather we've been having this wee. A deep freeze is another. Brrrr.
Whooo! Thats crazy! were the first words that came out of my mouth when i saw this shot! Amazing! I cant belive he is out there in such weather. Great positioning too!
Mary MacADNski: They are year round residents and the sweetest little birds. They are out there in bone-chilling days too with their feathers all puffed up for the extra insulation afforded by the trapped air. The day this photo was shot was not that cold.

A joy to te eye, wonderful, love the DOF of the falling snow.
Mary MacADNski: I especially like the bit of snow falling in front of it's neck/breast.

Chicky Dee not snow covered - yet smile

One day I must come and visit PEI and experience snow falls.
Mary MacADNski: Snow is glorious and we got some last week but this week we've had bone chilling cold. That is the unpleasant part of winter. Luckily these 'cold spells' are infrequent and usually last less than a week.

Beautiful Mary, you really do breed them tough down there
Mary MacADNski: A chickadee is tough but it is also the most cheerful, friendly bird. I can get them to eat from my hand and they will land right beside the cats as they know the cats won't attack them. Very smart and trusting.

It would make a lovely Christmas card one year, Mary. Awwww.
Mary MacADNski: It would at that. I'll have to remember.
Such a delightful capture Mary. I just love it!
Mary MacADNski: They are delightfil birds.
What a small beauty among the snowflakes.Too bad I can't see her eyes.
Mary MacADNski: They are pure black.

a very lovely shot, Mary. nicely composed and nicely focused. grin
Mary MacADNski: Thank you so much.
You almost feel you would like to bring the poor little thing inside in the warm.
Mary MacADNski: They're perfectly happy out there.
Gorgeous Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ron. Winter has it's delights.
Supercute!!! Love itsmile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Bill. Can you tell me what 'a stone' is in weight? I read it in British books.
Lovely
Mary MacADNski: Thank you, Stephania.
We've haven't seen a chickadee around here for awhile, Mary. You are lucky that they are still coming to your feeders in the cold weather. This one is a real cutie and you've captured him beautifully. The colors are superb.
Mary MacADNski: I have tons of the lovely creatures though are missing juncos this year. I've not seen one since November.

Great shot - he looks like he hasn't a care in the world, but I am sure keeping fed is difficult in deep snow.
Mary MacADNski: They're seed eaters so eat the seeds of weeds. In deep snow a lot of those weeds are covered but we've not had any deep snow this year. Today's photo is a good example of how much snow we have. Where it drifts there is some but bare spots in other places.
A beautiful bird, with that mask. Mary, I really like these pictures of the feeders, show me the warmth of your gaze. They are beautiful.
Mary MacADNski: You have a wonderful way with words, valentin.

Usted tiene una manera maravillosa con palabras, Valentín.
I think the fellow is waiting for the morning newspaper to read while it has its breakfast! It doesn't look the least bit bothered by the weather! Very nice capture!
Mary MacADNski: LOL They actually sit there looking into the kitchen. Crows sit there too waiting for their food. When I walk into the kitchen they call to the others that they've seen me. Hilarious!
The essence of Chick-a-dee-ed-ness, Mary. Cheers!
Mary MacADNski: I love them. They come to my hand.
Liking this alot!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks - real winter.
