Sea of Love

When you are uncoupled, Valentines Day is for the birds.

Stuck in the Unassigned Bin since October of 2014, this pair of gulls are finally making an appearance on Valentines Day.

Lovely light on the tail, there! Very sweet song, isn't it!
Mary MacADNski: I love the video. The song was a real hit.
Astrid would tell you Valentine's Day is for the birds anyway...because it's so commercialized. She can't stand that it has hopped over the Big Pond to the Netherlands. The good news is that it doesn't matter to me that we don't celebrate it! smile
Mary MacADNski: Astrid has hit the nail on the head. My daughter was valentine day SHOPPING yesterday. There's something wrong with having the expectation to do that because you have children.

Nicely caught in flight, Mary
Mary MacADNski: I love being higher than the birds.

I am of Astrid's opinion too..
Mary MacADNski: My reply to Ginnie: Astrid has hit the nail on the head. My daughter was valentine day SHOPPING yesterday. There's something wrong with having the expectation to do that because you have children.

Real lovebirds perhaps.
Mary MacADNski: We can pretend . We can make up a million stories about these two.

The Valentines plague has hit my country long ago. Tonight, there won't be room in any good restaurant in our city. The whole thing is commercialised to the hilt.
Mary MacADNski: Not thinking, I called yesterday to see if my son and his gf wanted to come to dinner tonight. What was I thinking? They will be in one of those crowded restaurants perhaps.
Ange and I are going out for lunch shortly at a local place we like. Not because it is Valentines day but because we don't have the kids today and we fancied having lunch
Mary MacADNski: You will profusely profess your love for Ange over lunch if you know what's good for you.
You managed to fly- Brava
Mary MacADNski: I love being above the birds.

Just another way to relieve the hapless consumer from his money. I bet the red roses will be half price tomorrow smile I'd rather have a day out with the gulls.
Mary MacADNski: I bought my own flowers from our tulip farm but do that anyway.

A lovely image, so much nicer than all the hyped up commercial sentimentality we are inundated with
Mary MacADNski: I bought my own flowers from our tulip farm but get them every week anyway.

such gracefulness and motion you've managed to capture !
Mary MacADNski: It is an oldie but has finally surfaced. Thank you.
Nice shot, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Tom. It's an old one.
A pithy thought and a fine image...
