I like the second version better, Mary...more interesting sky to my eye.
Mary MacADNski: I agree. The white is quite burned out in the B/W.
I'll go with the second image, Mary, but only because it's the first day of SPRING!
Mary MacADNski: Lots more detail in the secong. Thanks.

I am with Ray on this
Mary MacADNski: I agree too. The white is quite burned out in the first.

Oh, I love your images! But I imagined another music fitting the images, sorry!
Mary MacADNski: I still have the John Mayall album but have not heard it for years. That first song was pure enjoyment for me.

I agree with Ray - the sky has more definition in the colour version. I like that silhouette!
Mary MacADNski: All the early commenterss preferred the colour, the later preferred the b/w.
A fine b&w

I will catch up with John Mayall later. One of the great names
Mary MacADNski: He was a blues musician too but this is jazz and really woinderful. I can't tell you how many times I'v played this in the last week.,
A good shot Mary but the B.& W.one comes over best.
Mary MacADNski: They both have different attributes.

Great silhouette and the John Mayall brings back memories.
Mary MacADNski: I have been playing this song, California, all week. I still have the vinyl.
Absolutely superb photograph Mary. The modern jazz/blues music fits in well.
Mary MacADNski: I am enjoying the music as I write this. Thank you about the picture.

I like the strong silhouette very much. It's a perfect subject for black and white.
Mary MacADNski: A bit burned out. Perhaps if I corrected it but it is a straight conversion.

This is so good, so simple but I love the B&W, those clouds are so great and that seagull is a winner.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks very much, Astrid. I am glad the 1600 shutter speed was enough.
Great shot, Mary - the kind that's hard to get!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Tom. A lucky shot.

The second pic is b&w enough. Reminiscent of Jonathan Livingstone Seagull.
Mary MacADNski: That's an old reference but remembered certainly by people of our age.
You must have used the Clouds of the Apocalypse feature...
