Lit Tips

This would be the most snow we have had so far this year.  It seems our snow lasts only a day then it rains or we get a snowfall that turns to rain in the end. The end result has been an icy winter and orthopaedic surgeons are reporting how busy they are.

I think back to 2015 when we got our first snow the weekend of Feb 14th then broke the all time snowfall record for a year, all beginning that weekend.

In a Canadian winter, we never know what is next.

that is quite telling when orthopaedic surgeons get busy, Mary. this is a fascinating image with the light play.
Mary MacADNski: A friend who waited in an emergency room lately told me of the people he saw waiting to see the orthopods because of falls.

It looks mighty fine, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: I actually got a better one of the same scene since then.

just the right amount to be beautiful lying on the branches

any more snow and the limbs will break
Mary MacADNski: Oh my! You must look back to other winters in my archives. I live in a place that sometimes gets deep and heavy snow. I love how this shows a history of winters and summers.

Nice shot, we got snow today, and Gordon Lightfoot is on here in May.
Mary MacADNski: He played here in the spring after cancelling the Sept before because of serious illness. People said it was a truly awesome experience and I feel this will be his last tour.
Lovely little bit of light! We finally are getting some more snow - it's been such a dry winter.
As Frank says - Lightfoot will be here in May - we're considering going!
Mary MacADNski: Oh discuss my comment to Frank about lightfoot. I am stuck again in my driveway because of ice. Starting tomorrow, the rest of the week is above zero so I will attack it with ashes and salt.

Joli paysage neigeux.
Mary MacADNski: We have had very little this year.

This is fabulous. I especially love how the low light is just catching the branches.

Apparently the UK iOS having its coldest February since records began. A fair amount if snow in the north fo England and Scotland but nothing down here. Occasionally wet but often with a strong wind.

Very pretty but when it all turns to rain it can be very dangerous
Mary MacADNski: I am stuck again in my driveway because of ice. Starting tomorrow, the rest of the week is above zero so I will attack it with ashes and salt. I have hardly driven this winter. Luckily I can walk for all my needs.

We have had our fifth dollop of snow this winter Mary. We are lucky it hasn’t been worse.
Mary MacADNski: Many are complaining of our loack of snow. Many are rejoicing. I am listening to them all,; being the realist tomorrow could change everything as it did in 2015.
That is enough snow for me Mary smile

Love gordon Lightfoot
Mary MacADNski: I have enjoyed it but have had to beg rides to events.

I love this Canadian winter image!
Mary MacADNski: Out my back door again. I got a better shot of the same spot since then.
As you'll know by now from us U.K.folk this would be more than enough snow for us and would bring everywhere to a standstill. Last night our weatherman on TV was saying that horrendous rains are expected over part of Canada during the next few days, I hope not in PEI.
Mary MacADNski: We are to be above zero al week but I have not even looked at precipitation.

A lovely picture Mary.
Mary MacADNski: An unusual sight this winter. We are pure ice again now.
Very similar here - yesterday morning the lawn was covered in snow, by lunchtime, it had gone, and we've had rain almost all the time since then!
Mary MacADNski: Yes, similar to here but then we will get freezing temps for a week. This coming week is to be above zero for the week.

Just shows how unpredictable the weather is and always will be, Mary. It feels raw here today
Mary MacADNski: Raw is not nice. Here today was bright sun and minus nine but the rest of the week will be above zero. Yeah! Outdoors every day.
Bella, only the writing is missing, Merry Christmas smile
Excellent lighting... Carolina winters are equally tricky...
