Elles sont curieuses.
Mary MacADNski: They certainly are.
They're watching you Mary.
Mary MacADNski: They are so shy compared to dairy cows. They won't watch long as their metabolism is saying, "Eat,eat, eat".
They are beautiful, Mary! Each of your photos is just wonderful!
Mary MacADNski: This and the sheep are in the same pasture behind my house - different times of course.

Happy beef-stock out in the long grass
Mary MacADNski: The closer field that is on two sides of my place was once pasture for dairy cows. That was a wonderful time with young kids as they were very friendly. These beef cattle are very shy and do nothing but eat.
You lookin' at me?
Mary MacADNski: I was glad to get one to look up. It took quite a time.

They are certainly very quizzitive. I like the lighting in the montage especially.
Mary MacADNski: I would have to look back to the time to tell you about the light for sure. I think it is late afternoon to early evening but it could be morning.

They are good looking beasts.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, and such a dry year but my neighbour has lots of pasture. The sheep shown after this were in the very same pasture but at different times of course. They are very fat lambs too.
I love the one in the montage that seems to be watching you with great interest
Mary MacADNski: It takes a while to get one to look up. These beefy things only think of food.
You have one or two who are inquisitive, Mary. The others not so much. Wonderful group of images.
Mary MacADNski: Beef cattle think of nothing but food and have very little interest in people. Dairy cows are another matter; they love people.
Got to keep an eye on things!
Mary MacADNski: The mamas certainly will.

Just checking you out!
Mary MacADNski: Between munches.
isn't it strange that there is always one of the cows looking directly into the camera Mary... good collage....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Peter. These beef cattle hardly ever look up.

You must be very popular Mary, there is at least one cow looking at you in every image.
Mary MacADNski: It was hard to get one to look up. I made just enough noise. Too much and they would take off.

You have caught their attention, Mary - so inquisitive
Mary MacADNski: Beef cattle are shy and always eating I had to work hard to get that one's attention.
A lovely day in the pasture. Unfortunately, the next time we see him will be on a plate with some veges. Both excellent smile
Mary MacADNski: You are right about that. I see the truck often enough.
Cattle are good observers.
Mary MacADNski: I love milk cows but these beef cattle are not people oriented, only grass oriented.
