photoblog image Waiting

Waiting

In these shots, only one is repeated. The right hand corner and the larger block below are the same. I came across the cats looking up the tree at some apparition or bird I could not see. They were all individually shot over a thirty-six minute period.  Purrl is persistent.  The only reason she stopped was that I called her name second to last shot. I don't know how long they had been sitting there before I came along.

Cats are not as good at community behavior as dogs, so it is especially entertaining to observe them trying to live together.

3 of our cats have been together at least 10 years, but they still have to make daily adjustments to maintain a non-combative environment.

I like your set very much, Mary.
Care MacADNski: Each is as entirely different of one another as humans are. It has been interesting watching Lucy join our family. It has worked out well so far but I have not seen her in full 'outdoors in the country' mode. She came from the city.

Purrl looks transfixed
Care MacADNski: She absolutely is. I wonder how long they had already been there.
This is a very good set of pictures to make up this collage. John Mayall was one of my favourites back in the old days, indeed I still have my copy of his LP Blues from Laurel Canyon, I must get it out and play it. He is still on TV occasionally, even at the age of 85.
Care MacADNski: I still have ole JM albums too. I had no idea he was still active. Good to know!

I wonder what they had seen? Mine would sometimes be sitting o=in the lounge and would suddenly start staring at something I could not see; quite freaky. I'm sure they used to do it for a joke just to wind me up.
Care MacADNski: I think it was probably a bird that was perfectly camouflaged from me. I usually get lots of woodpeckers but they can easily be seen. This must have been an invisible to me sparrow.
Cats see things invisible to us hoomins
Care MacADNski: That is the truth though usually a bird or squirrel entertains them like the sky does for me.
Something got away from them!
Care MacADNski: I could not see a bird or squirrel but one must have been there out of my sight.
It's like watching a cat movie. Bravo for patience!
Care MacADNski: They crack me up!
