Summer Sights and Sounds

A bumble bee above and a honey bee, below.  I can't wait to see and hear them again.

The song has nothing at all to do with the photo today.  I love the song but have no plans to go to Morocco and couldn't think of any other reason to play it. The band, Ollabelle, sings back-up here.

I like bumble bees especially. You're good at these macro shots.
Mary MacADNski: Thank you, Alan. I love bumble bees to, from childhood when my mother told me that if I didn’t bother them if they wouldn’t bother me.

I thought from the thumbnail you had caught a little rabbit. We are getting a few bumble bees now on our milder days. No honey bees yet.
Mary MacADNski: No bees here yet but flies are warming up. When gardening early in the season, I quite often wake bumblebees still hibernating underneath the soil.

Getting stuck in.
Mary MacADNski: They are still dressed in their work clothes.
There was a large bumble bee in our garage the other day looking for the exit. I pointed it out and off he flew.

A fine pair of pictures Mary
Mary MacADNski: You have discovered how, smart they are. Thanks, Bill.
On warm days they are already buzzing about their business here.
Mary MacADNski: I have heard of activity around hives and cleansing runs are just beginning.

Lovely macros.
Mary MacADNski: It is nice when they stay still for a moment.
They are both good shots, especially the top one.
Mary MacADNski: I will always leave a few green onion flowers now after seeing what a great attraction they are. Discovered in a busy year.
Great macros!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks very much, Tom.

love your soft color palette
Mary MacADNski: True nature and not accentuated in any way. I love unedited photography.
