photoblog image It's a Grind

It's a Grind

I mentioned somewhere I was working on a glass project.

This is one panel of five in a series on an apple tree.

This song is about someone working alone.

It's the first time I have seen/heard this slower, live version.

this is lovely
Mary MacADNski: Thank you, sherri.
So lovely, Mary! What a rewarding art... I can't wait to see the final result!
Yes - this slow song is just lovely!
Mary MacADNski: I have been busy so this winter project has hardly begun. I have had the normal version of this song here quite a few times.

Delicate work Mary
Mary MacADNski: I intended to have it finished by now.

I love the design, I’m sure it will look great.
Mary MacADNski: The end result is up in the air. I have the wooden frame but think it might look busy. I won't know until the five pieces are done and placed in the frame. They may become five separate framed panels instead.
Looks like an interesting project!
Mary MacADNski: I have a hollow, dying tree that blooms spectacularly every year. I want to capture it's unusualness.

I admire your skills - it might be a wonderful glass project.
Mary MacADNski: The end result is not permanently decided. I have the wooden frame but think it might look busy. I won't know until the five pieces are done and placed in the frame. They may become five separate framed panels instead.
Hope you will show us the finished work, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I intended to have it finished by now and this is only the first panel... One day....
That is very nice Mary, please show us the finished item however long it takes.
Mary MacADNski: I worked for hours yesterday having a problem till I found a piece laid in wrong.

That looks lovely. What patience you must have. I look forward to seeing the finished result.
Mary MacADNski: I am a bit annoyed with my procrastination. I blame retirement.

Oh well done! I live the colours very much.
Mary MacADNski: The sky will be different in each panel. The greens of the leaves will be different in each panel too.
you are a true artist Mary... i love the way that you number the pieces of glass into your pattern....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: Each piece is numbered more than once. Cutting oils and water keeps washing it off. I worked for hours yesterday having a problem till I found a piece laid in wrong. If the number had still been on it, that would not have happened.
You should show us more of your glass work Mary
Mary MacADNski: I showed some of my windows way back when and did a small series on glass a while back too.

I love it, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It is troubling me at the moment.
