photoblog image Monday Muse

Monday Muse

Tulip time came and went very quickly this year.

photoblog image IMG_3789.JPG

Met this young fellow last night and another singer/songwriter who I will feature tomorrow. They were very appreciative that three grandma-age women came to their bar concert. They sat with us, signed autographs for one woman's daughter and gave us cd's. They say women our age are invisible but we were very popular with the young patrons and entertainers last night.

A truly lovely image - I particularly love the black & white - it appears to glow from the screen.
What a lovely, but sad song. I'm so pleased the musicians were so appreciative of your attendance and enthusiasm! I don't thing "grandma-age" women are invisible, at all!
Care MacADNski: B/w for me too. This fellow was lovely, from the prairies and his first time on our island. He was blown away.

Care MacADNski: I'm with you. Thanks.

Both are lovely but the b&w is exceptional
Care MacADNski: Thanks, Beth.
J'aime la photo en couleurs avec le contraste du vert et du blanc.
Care MacADNski: You are alone this week, Martine.
Grandmas rising up. HA! I love it, Mary. And your tulip is lovely in both versions.
Care MacADNski: Ha, ha. We were the only ones sitting down!

For some reason is the B&W more "powerful". The coloured version is also wonderful and what a beautiful tulip, Mary.
Care MacADNski: I am so happy it is flower weason. At the moment, lilacs, apple blossom and my later lily of the valley.

I don't think I have ever seen a white tulip, Mary
Care MacADNski: I have had these in the garden for 35 years and they are not uncommon.
I do like the top one so dramatic
Care MacADNski: Black and white does often result in something more dramatic.
Beautiful Mary.....I particularly like the B&W smile
Care MacADNski: You're with the majority!
Two excellent version of the Tulip Mary, I've not see a white one before.
Care MacADNski: White tulips are quite popular here.

A very elegant tulip, I prefer the b&w image!
Care MacADNski: You have joined the majority, Philine.
I like this in b&w very much

Love the song. reminds me a bit of Passenger
Care MacADNski: He was a wonderful fellow. First time on our island and from the flat prairies. He was in heaven.

Both images are a delight - for me the B&W just has the edge.
Care MacADNski: You are with the majority here, Anne.
There is something elegant about white tulips, Mary. Both images are gorgeous. I agree that their blooms are too short lived.
Care MacADNski: Cool temps help them so the daffodil season was wonderful. The heat began when the tulips emerged this year so they were short-lived.

I was properly confused. I thought the young fellow you met is the boy in the boy in the video. Then I thought the singer's name is Argue - then I found out that the singer's name is Poor Homeless Boy. I think that he can sing.

The tulip pops beautifully in both pics.
Care MacADNski: He has a real name and introduced me with it but I cannot remember it. Perhaps that is the key to his stage name.
B&W really works with this one.
Care MacADNski: I agree as so most of you.

Yes; I thought the same. I lovely the shape of the flowers.
Care MacADNski: Tulips are so sensual.
i love your pure white tulip Mary... i loved the video and the sound of the singer...petersmile
Care MacADNski: Thanks peter. He was very, very good and appreciated that we were listening while all of the younger patrons were chatting.
