Alien Watery Wednesday

I asked Bill a few weeks ago how he managed to get a turquoise sky. He blamed aliens.

I learned how to do it to water by pressing that notorious Auto button.

This video kept showing up on my YouTube Homepage urging me to play it.

As it is one of my favorite Joni song, I did.

It is an excellent perfomance but a below average recording.

Thank you for this alluable tip, Mary. smile

Wonderful music vipeo, but full of disturbing words.
Care MacADNski: Joni,s genius is her true stories, sometimes disturbing, told through brilliant poetry. Then there’s the music.

You can't beat a good auto twiddle..
Care MacADNski: It makes things clearer which works sometimes but it most always makes colours that are not seen in nature. The sooc is much truer to colour here.
Sometimes Auto is the best of all options, Mary! smile
Care MacADNski: The colours seem to change for the detriment most times. Auto makes them far from natural. it does take haze away though.

.... that is the one button I don;t have on my camera, Mary......
Great pictures and yes it makes a difference.
Care MacADNski: It is not on the camera but on the twiddler program.

The water has a milky look to it. Trust Bill.
Care MacADNski: The water was lovely but not that good looking with my narrow band of focus.
I must admit to not using the Auto button on any of my cameras but just occasioanlyl I use it on Photoshop, sometimes it works and other times it doesn't, here it's made the water look quite good.
Care MacADNski: This auto button is on the editing program, not the camera. It made the water turquoise which it is not in reality. It also took the red of the cliffs and turned them brown. I am not a fan of it.

What a difference a bit of a twiddle can have smile
Care MacADNski: I don't do it often but when I press that auto button....
Yup - the auto button can bring some funny results!
Care MacADNski: It is a rare time that I use it and always file it as so.

Hahah!!! Photography is often the work of the Devil; I don't know about aliens. It;s daily unusually to get a blue sky; it can be quite milky because fo haze. The water in your lower photo looks like something from a swimming pool.
Care MacADNski: True. Blue skies are common here under the right conditions but other days are hazy.
Auto buttons are often a good starting point Mary. It is usually mine.
Care MacADNski: I rarely keep it there and file it as such if I do.
I love how the trees radiate around that cliff.......very pleasing Mary! smile
