From 2009 08 13

A friend and I were on the beach at Beach Point on a hot August day in 2009.  Around the point appeared this vision, something totally unexpected, a huge barque!  It was alone but for one fishing boat that was slowly motoring alongside.

I found out later it was the Picton Castle, a Canadian training ship and school that take teens for a one year sailing/school adventure.  A friend's son attended one year.

Turned out the fishing boat was our Dover Lady, with Capt. Bob and Laurel.

The power of b&w comes through when comparing these two versions.
Love all the layers of the sea and of course the beautiful barque, Mary...........what a great adventure for the school kids! smile
Makes a fine B&w

I seem to recall that your friend Capt. Bob passed away not so long back
Care MacADNski: No, Capt Bob's wife, Laurel, Tara's mother, was killed in an accident 15 July, 2018.

The b&w is a great picture. I count 3 dragonflies in the picture.
Quite a sight to see Mary.
