Watery and Scarlety Wednesday

The leaves are very ragged and torn after the hurricane

but there is still some colour in the remaining foliage.

Reminds me that we don't really have an Autumn here...love the colors.
Care MacADNski: This was a few weeks ago. They got better.
We replicate your colours here Mary, so nice.
Care MacADNski: This was a while ago and the colours stayed through the last big wind.
C'est triste de voir des arbres abattus. Jolies couleurs.
Care MacADNski: The hurricane felled a great number of trees. This was at a park where much work had been done to clear the trails. There is lots to do yet.
Yes - still some very pretty color!
A fitting song!
Care MacADNski: The colour got better the next weeks, thankfully.

I like the album this is out of.

The tree is still alive, from the look of things
Care MacADNski: A great number of trees were uprooted. It might be meant to stay for awhile as this pond fills with migrating waterfowl.

The fall is coming . I guess that tree came down in the hurricane.
Care MacADNski: Yes indeed. This was at a park where much work had been done to clear the trails. There is lots to do yet.

It has taken quite a battering, but nature is strong, and still has much to delight
Care MacADNski: Yes, this is a waterfowl sanctuary but there were not many birds around that day.

Nature has a neat way of pruning.
Care MacADNski: This was a severe pruning, especially parts of the National Park.
No doubt it will all bounce back. Scary things hurricanes...luckily we don't get them
Care MacADNski: I know what you mean about thankful for not getting hurricanes. I feel the same about tornadoes though they do land in New Brunswick (our mainland) occasionally.
I guess the hurricane could have spoiled a lot of the tres as they turned to their autumn colours.
Care MacADNski: Yes and the leaves get shaken, cracked and bruised from the extreme winds so you see less pretty leaves on what is left.
Beautiful Autumn colours Mary smile
Care MacADNski: Eastern North America is famous for our fall colours. Big in the cruise ship itineraries.
