photoblog image Flower Week

Flower Week

In the triptych, the first is straight out of camera, the second had the auto button employed and the third was a b/w of the original. I tried to b/w the auto image but the white became washed out.

Such a great old song.

I have been hypnotized by this second version for years now.

One of my all-time favorite covers of any song:

Ani

A few days after making this post, I ran across a review for this English fellow's

album and this was the sample they provided:

Makes and even three for three.

Oh! Pink...it needs to be pink!
Care MacADNski: I am assuming you mean the middle one? The contrast is really boosted with such white in the highlights.
Quelle jolie fleur, j'aime ses formes.
Care MacADNski: Flowers have such great forms. Thank you.
Beautiful photos all, Mary... I love your twiddling experiments!
A very charming song... with a sad story.
Care MacADNski: My twiddling is very basic. A total of two buttons. I loved the original version from the '60 but Ani's version .....

I tried to guess the colour, Care, and got it right!
Care MacADNski: All of my poppies range from pink to mauve. Such a great part of summer.

Very nice, keep experimenting..
Care MacADNski: Since I can not be out in the garden, I will do that.
This is a good example, Care, of how good SOOC often is!
Care MacADNski: I certainly like it better about 90% of the time. It looks much more natural.

I like the B&W, Care. However the pick is such a beautiful colour.
Care MacADNski: I am with you, sister.
Some fine twiddling here Care
Care MacADNski: Two whole buttons pressed. Well one more that was quickly rejected.

I like the middle ‘un.
Care MacADNski: Contrast is such a characteristic of that auto button.

That main picture is lovely, strongly sharp. English is failing smile
Care MacADNski: Sorry about my English - no pretense of sophistication here. I like the b/w too.
Very beautiful images Care smile
Care MacADNski: Thank you, Martin. Another six months and they will be swaying with the breeze again.
It is a fine image in all three versions Care.
Care MacADNski: Much obliged to you, Brian.
