Pick Those Flowers While Ye May

Orange daylilies bloom for a long time but are nearing their end when the goldenrod blooms.

Beautiful! Especially the one at end-of-life.
Care MacADNski: Each blossom lasts only one day.
Lovely flowers well captured Care.
Care MacADNski: I usually get only one such bouquet per year. These are the last day lilies of the season.
Joli bouquet avec de belles couleurs.
Care MacADNski: End of summer and beginning of autumn in flower time.
Lovely, lovely, Mary!
What a beautiful song - haven't thought of Tanya Tucker in so long!
Care MacADNski: I did not know this song nor do I know Tanya’s music. I like the song though, especially the lyrics.

Golden Rod means the end of summer here in the UK
Care MacADNski: It is the same here, Chris. I get only one or two of these bouquet each year and they are for outdoor use only as goldenrod pollen is not great indoors. There are only a few day lilies left when the goldenrod blooms.
They make a great show. The ones in my garden are starting to grow again
Care MacADNski: That is always amazing to me. ours peek from the ground in May.

Now that is a very pleasing colour, and I’m not normally fond of orange.
Care MacADNski: They are a versatile bloom in the garden and add to every summer bouquet.

They are glorious, though! What fabulous colours.
Care MacADNski: They look very good in bouquets and go with everything.
They are very attractive flowers.
Care MacADNski: They are very habituated here but do not grow wild like in some parts of Canada.

Lovely blooms. Look good with the Golden Rod
Care MacADNski: Their blooms cross paths only for about a week in the average year so these outdoor bouquets are always a treat.
