Winta with Weetha

Shadows and light have been a main subject area this winter.

I had not looked up winter tracks before last Thursday's post about mystery tracks. I found out that the tracks are that of a deer mouse. I call them white belly mice. Cats love to catch them but do not eat them.

I wore out the album of this name and will miss Aretha forever.

You have replicated some of my snow/shadow shots Care . Always fascinating.
Care MacADNski: Only PEI, of all the Maritimes, is still snow covered. It's all I've had. smile

Pleased you have solved the mystery of the tracks, Care
Care MacADNski: I should have looked it up earlier. They are a common mouse here but I assumed they hibernated. It is a cute little track.

Care MacADNski: Funny a mouse would be running around in the night. It was there in the early morning light.

Interesting comparison of the two pictures.
