Crippled Creek

I usually photograph water much like above but just for fun I produced a few moving water shots like the one below.

Très jolis mouvements de l'eau.
Care MacADNski: Fast or slow - just like a faucet.
i like the silky flow of the water, Care - gives an impression of very little turbulence.
Care MacADNski: I always like water with the frozen in action look rather than the softer slow flow but both have their merits.
Water is so much fun to shoot, I was messing with a fountain today. Cant beat the Band !
Care MacADNski: Music and moving water . One can match one with the other.
It is fun to experiment with water shots!
That's a great song, isn't it!
Care MacADNski: Water play is wonderful. We learn that in the womb. smile The movie is etched in my memory. It was like nothing else ever shown at the time.

I can imagine the music of the lower image, Care.
Care MacADNski: Exactly, Ray. Water sounds are as different as instruments in an orchestra.

I like the colour image, there's real movement there
Care MacADNski: Both are in colour but the soft water photo has a blob of bright brown. That must be the one.
Like milk and honey!
Care MacADNski: Ooooh ! I like that description, Lady.

It is fun to experiment with the camera and moving water, Care. The results are often quite unexpected, at least for me....
I like the bottom one very much. It shows "speed".
Care MacADNski: It is certainly fun to play with, Astrid. I hope it warms soon so there are more opportunities to go outside to play.
I think your lower picture works well Care
Care MacADNski: It is fun to do that once in a while. I always like the sharp fast water effect so rarely do the slow and throw them away.

In both you have caught the movement well
Care MacADNski: Quite different but both pleasing. Thanks, Lisl.

The rush of water is a glorious thing.
Care MacADNski: Water sounds are as different as instruments in an orchestra. I am sure one could write a symphony with water sounds.

Two great shots. I prefer the bottom one, with its show of movement.
Care MacADNski: Looks more fun for the little fish. smile
Two very fine shots Care, the lower one is just right for my taste, sometimes the effect is overdone and it doesn't appear like water at all.
Care MacADNski: That's right. It is fun to play with.

You'll never please everyone with the right shutter speed to use to photograph flowing water. Fo me; i like it to see it almost frozen i time with just a hint of a very slight wispiness.
Care MacADNski: I am nor a fan of wispiness usually but was pleased with this one.
Lovely to look at Care; I can almost hear the trickling sounds smile
Care MacADNski: They were wonderful as there ware no traffic sounds, just birds.
the black and white steals the show for me Care...

take care....petersmile
Care MacADNski: These are both in colour, my dear.
lovely water rush
Care MacADNski: Sometimes it pays to be in a rush. smilesmilevsmile
