photoblog image Friday Flora

Friday Flora

Here is an iron smelting pot in my garden that I repainted with rust paint last fall. The paint did not stick even though I properly prepared the item. Back to the drawing board....

An interesting shot occured before the yellow lilies in the pot bloomed. With this peculiar aspect, the pot looks like it is holding a lot of flowers.

Secondly, a round of wild flowers...

It did take a second to figure that out, Care. HA. That's fun. But I also really like the circles of wildflowers.

We have something similar but I did know it was a smelting pot.
Care MacADNski: It was for heating and bending horseshoes So I may have called it the wrong thing. This was the first blacksmith in the area.

A good trick shot, which is also good for the layering of flowers that it shows.

I like the pot and its flowers set very nicely against that colourful background.
Care MacADNski: It worked a treat - just like I hope you had today.

Care MacADNski: It is not rusted but rust cloured spray paint the flaked off over winter. It was grey and yellow previously.
