Wreck and Ruin

On a quick day trip to Nova Scotia in July, I came across a boat graveyard. What a sight!

You can see them on Google Maps in the community of Marie Joseph, Nova Scotia.

Picture #2 is a hullova picuture!

The promenant size of #1 is powerful.
Care MacADNski: I had only and iPad and only a few minutes. I would love to go back.

Care MacADNski: It will be salvaged and go on to some other uses.

I always feel a sadness when I see boats at end-of-life, Care.
Care MacADNski: It is a salvage boat yard so it will be taken apart and made use of. Hope that brings you a better feeling.
Oh Frank would certainly love a walk around this place with you! Wonderful photos - and great music!
Care MacADNski: It was frustrating as I had five minutes and only an iPad. There were many boats that I could not capture.

I LOVE this in-your-face view, Care. Both images make it a photographer's heaven!
Care MacADNski: I got photos of only a few of the boats smile

I feel like I’m going to be run down by a boat.
Care MacADNski: No worries. It is grounded and not moving anywhere.

Dylan’s recent album , first for years, is pretty reasonable.
Care MacADNski: It is more political than usual but the groove is pretty good.

The bow view looks like it has been scraped for a new layer of paint. I can think that many photographers would like to spend some time here.
Care MacADNski: It would be a delight to do so. I had only five minutes and covered only a small portion of the yard.
A sad but photogenic sight Care

This is "Boatfriday" heaven, Care. I will take a look later on the map. I love the wabis sabi feeling to these pictures.
Care MacADNski: On the map, one thing is astounding. On google, the overhead shot shows a huge iron Coast Guard ship who's home was PEI. If you go down to street view, The Tupper is not in the photo. It seems the last time they drove through with the camera car, it was not there. The overview, then was shot more recently. I almost died when I saw it in person but my friend would not make another stop for me. We then got lost, missed the ferry and had all the time in the world in the end. I want to go back!
Great shots Care, a photographers paradise perhaps.
Care MacADNski: Very much so, Brian. I would like to go back with a real camera and more time.

This won't be going to sea any time soon. I hope that the make-do prop does not give way should anyone be daft enough to be under the boat at the time.
Care MacADNski: I know! I was amazed at it all and had no time - or real camera.
Oh deep joy ! That would have made my day ! So many photo opps'. I really like Bobs new album.
Care MacADNski: around, the corner was the old Tupper, an big old coast guard ship.and I couldn’t stop. I felt robbed.

I like the album too but it’s not spectacular.
