The Thirsty Deck

Here is the last look at the boatyard in Marie Joseph, Nova Scotia. There are more dead boats around the bend in the road but I did not get a chance to photograph them.

A photo mine ! Similar to where I live in the U.K.
Care MacADNski: I definitely want to go back here.
Great for photo ops!! Though I know it had company - your image makes it seem so lonely in it's demise.
Something different from Postmodern Jukebox
Care MacADNski: I can imagine this one will be hit by ocean waves this winter. The others were a bit further inshore.

I like the version they are doing in all minors.

Needs a bit of work...
Care MacADNski: A couple of good storms should finish it off.
Voilà une vraie épave.
Care MacADNski: No longer on the seas looking for fish.

Dumped and forgotten..
Care MacADNski: I would say there was some salvage taken off this one. I believe the engines are the first to come off.
I would be in blissful heaven there, Care!
Care MacADNski: I want to go back too, Ginnie. Next summer.

The pictures of the boat almost hurt.... one day this was a glorious boat, loved by the owner and taken for nice rides to nice places....
I like the first picture with the view over the bay.
"Who wants to live forever" is one song I like to have at my funeral, Care. (part of it...)
Care MacADNski: It's fishing days are over and wooden boats die eventually. I mean, Who wants to live forever?

Do you like this version, all done in minor keys?

Are they just left to rot?
Care MacADNski: This is a boat salvage yard. Usually the engines and metals come off first. One boat is full of asbestos and has taken longer due to health and safety concerns.

Interesting song.
Care MacADNski: I like this version done in all minor key better than the Queen version.

Drop the deck into the water and it can drink for ever more.

The song is so appropriate. As a Queen fan I believe they did a better job, but the PMJ group provided a great rendition. I like Morgan's strong voice.
Care MacADNski: This boat might be getting some icy sea water over this winter.

I like that the minor key is so in your face in this version.
Are the remains just left there to rot or are they taken away at some time or other?
Care MacADNski: A salvage company owns it. The guts are gone and I suppose they sell the bodies too. Lots of good wood there.

To think that this was once someone's pride and joy at one time. I wonder why it ended up the way?
Once this was someone's pride and joy
Care MacADNski: Yes, and now salvage. A great experience seeing them. This is the last in the series unless I get back there.
Far beyond repair, it looks like it was dropped from a great height
Care MacADNski: I would say they salvaged 'the guts' out of it first. The wood will get saved when ever. My son told me the true, very sad, personal story which I cannot say here.
Thrown up there by a storm?
Care MacADNski: This is a boat graveyard, Tom, boats salvaged by a company.
