photoblog image Mid Afternoon Marram

Mid Afternoon Marram

I darkened the black and white as the Apple and Canon process a photo in such different ways. A straight conversion differs little from a greyscale conversion with any iPhone photos I have tried.

I like it ... better in B&W
Care MacADNski: The sand grains got picked up from the darkening I provided.
I'm a big shadow fan, these are both nice Care.
Care MacADNski: Thanks. You can tell the time with them.
I really like both versions - the shadows are great!
Lovely , lovely song!
Care MacADNski: Thanks, Ma'am. I love the simple beat with this song. Makes you pay more attention to the lyrics.

The mono image is wonderful
Care MacADNski: It certainly needed darkening to make it nice.
Le rendu noir et blanc est vraiment très réussi !
Care MacADNski: Thanks so much. It did need some alteration to get it there.
An excellent b&w Care
Care MacADNski: Thank you. I had to work on it.

The color version is quite lovely, Care.
Care MacADNski: The beach is lovely. I suffered with hot feet for only a few minutes then ran back to the water.

The shadows are lengthening.
Care MacADNski: We can tell the time here. My burning feet could tell the temperature.
I like both versions but in the B.& W. it is the shadows that catch my eye.
Care MacADNski: It needed darkening which I don't usually do but the iPhone settings are high.
