They can get a good view of the lake from here
Care MacADNski: This old wharf has held birds as long as I've been in the neighbourhood.
It always tickles me how birds find their own post and stay their ground. I wonder if they come back to the same post each time?
Care MacADNski: I often wonder if they do but you do see them going from pole to pole too.
Magnifiques couleurs, j'aime aussi les mouettes perchées.
Care MacADNski: They are there every day now.

And it makes a wonderful photo-shoot place. I love the sun and the golden reflections, Mary. Do you come here often to just look around??
Care MacADNski: This spot has been in my pictures since the very beginning. It is very near home about 9 -10 km.

Ideal perching posts for them, and ideal spot for your photography, Mary
Care MacADNski: Only a few km from home, I have had photos from here since the beginning .
A handy place to perch
Care MacADNski: I have been photographing this wharf for over 35 years.

Then it has been put to good use.
Care MacADNski: Yes and has been in this shape, not changing for decades.
I envy you being so close to all this nature.
Care MacADNski: Nature is bringing us a thin white blanket for our lawns at the moment, Brian. I have to go to the store and still have my summer tires on. smile

such a beautiful place for them to gather
Care MacADNski: It can be a very busy spot in summer with a mix of cormorants and gulls.

It makes for a good perch. It gives them a good vantage point, too.
Care MacADNski: The cormorants fish from there for sure.
The reflections are so good, it's deceiving! Lovely images, Mary smile
Care MacADNski: I know what you mean. I am going to show some reflections from this day sometime in the future.
They obviously regard them as built just for them!
Care MacADNski: A lot of tourists stop to photograph them.
