Putnam House Part 3

Two young men worked for several days salvaging the remains of this old landmark.  They removed trailer loads of beams and boards and were hard at work when I visited the site. They told me they do this as second jobs and had bid for the process.

Life... demonstrated by a building and the natural process of reintegration into the environment...

The person in the window is mega creepy.. love it!!!
Care MacADNski: Lots of old abandoned buildings around here.
quite a good thing for the two working with their hands, Care. I am afraid I do not know enough to do a fruitful work here!
Care MacADNski: They had interesting equipment such as huge magnets to pick up nails. Some of the beams were perfect.

I suppose it will give some re-use, but what will that ghost do when it all comes down?
Care MacADNski: That ghost is planning to use some of this lumber himself on his small farm.

This is real recycling in action then
Care MacADNski: These old beams and lumber are valuable. One fellow is using some himself and selling the rest.
Plenty there that can be re-used I would think
Care MacADNski: One fellow is using some himself and selling the rest. This old dense wood is very good still, though old.
Il ne reste pas grand-chose de la maison.
Care MacADNski: A lot of the lumber will be reused.

A tragic scene but also quite beautiful in a way.
Care MacADNski: These fellows were ecstatic to get this ancient, dense lumber.
How sad, it must have been a grand house in its time, oh what stories it could tell.
Care MacADNski: It was the doctor's house though I do not know if it was the doctor's office.

Oh my! Did that to the house next door. Amazing how fast it can happen! Now there's a very big starter castle in it's place.
Care MacADNski: This is a prime location. I am waiting with bated breath...

I recall your images of this ancient house - the fellows will have some plans for those remains.
Care MacADNski: Yes, I stopped in to see them the other day. They are still working on it.
Presumably some of the timber can be re-used.
Care MacADNski: Oh yes, one of the fellows is making use of it himself and they are selling some.
