A Hop, Skip and a Jump

A new walking trail in my neighbourhood takes the place of a previously abandoned road

that lead to a bridge connecting to Orwell Cove. It is one kilometer in length.

I have shown you this spot but from the other side.

Care MacADNski: My radio station played this song this morning then talked about the royalties made on it today. smile

Looks to be a fine place for a stroll. Why has the road been abandoned?

How wonderful Care, it’s good that new paths are opened.
Care MacADNski: Yes, and really close by.
Why was the road abandoned?
Care MacADNski: The bridge became unpaaable about fifty years ago. it was still a government road.
I like the whole selection of pictures here, and I'd like to walk that footpath.
Care MacADNski: It is new and dusty because of lack of rain but after greenery grows up, it will be nice.

Do you have also problems due to the climate change in Kanada? I especially like the image below showing a shady path through the forest.
Care MacADNski: I have been showing our coastline erosion for many years here. We are a sandbar in the super continent.

it feels remote. i'm guessing it's closer to a populated area than it appears to be.
Care MacADNski: I live in a remote farming community.
