Sharing the Beach

In each of these photos sandpipers are displaying their camouflage.

Only when I come too close do they move - just a few meters away.

Happy Birthday to the fellow who made me a mother.

Nice pics, Care.

That event sounds rather transactional...I suppose it can be thus?
Care MacADNski: Ha ha! Oh, the end product is a prize winner. The labour costs were absorbed over the long haul.
Nice beach, and lighthouse, always fun beach- combing.
Care MacADNski: This person in red enhanced a few of my shots. I hope she knew I was photographing birds.
Love the photos of the Sand Pipers! They're so sneaky with their camouflage!
I LOVE that video!
Care MacADNski: They are truly excellent. The friend with me could not see them at all till I got them to fly. I just found this video and like it too.

I can see them!

We've never heard mention of him before..
Care MacADNski: Sure you have. He lived in Seattle for a time. He lives away so we don't see him and his family often.

Great pictures, Care and this is so fun to see. What a great place to comb the beach. Did you find any treasures??
That last sentence is almost a riddle wink... Happy birthday
Care MacADNski: The lady in red was a stranger. We were at this beach only for a moment needing a lower tide to get where we wanted to go.

My son is 43. I told him this morning that his birthday is making me feel old.

I like the lighthouse. Today’s occasion deserves birthday greetings.
Care MacADNski: Facetime is a wonderful thing when it comes to birthday greetings. This is the Point Prim Lighthouse, shown here many times.
a fine collection of photos from this engaging place, Care.
Care MacADNski: This is the lighthouse closest to my home I have shown many from here in the past.
What a place to explore
